Hiking
The area around the Lyngen Fjordcamp is ideal for hiking for both shorter and longer trips.
One of the most popular trips in this part of Lyngen is the trip to Lyngstuva. The walk to the outermost point of the Lyngen Peninsula is suitable for young and old alike. Follow the path along the seashore from the car park at the end of the road. It starts as a gravel road then continues as a path. The last section is over and round a small hill before you reach the lighthouse at Lyngstuva. When you reach the outermost point of the Lyngen Peninsula, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the open sea and the islands of Fugleøya and Fakken. Lyngstuva is a perfect place to enjoy the Midnight Sun in summer and the Northern Lights in winter. En route to Lyngstuva is a nice rest area with a rustic shelter, toilet, fireplace, table and benches.
